DRESS CODE Releases Network Management/Networks Product in IT Force Series

Dress Code Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yuki Ejiri) has released "Network Management/Networks," a new product in the DRESS CODE IT Force series that promotes IT asset information management and operational efficiency. Following Software Management, Device Management, ID & Access Management, and License Management, this is the fifth product in the IT Force series. By centrally managing network configurations, administrators, and access permissions, it enables faster incident response, enhanced security, and improved audit compliance.

Background

With the expansion of cloud usage, proliferation of remote work, and increase in connected devices including IoT, corporate network management has become increasingly complex. Issues such as configuration information becoming outdated and diverging from reality, and incident response delays due to unclear responsibility assignments are commonly observed in many organizations. Furthermore, many workplaces face security and internal control risks, including delayed detection of unauthorized use due to lack of connection visibility, and audit findings related to uncontrolled proxy and DNS settings. To address these challenges, there is a growing need for a system that centrally manages network information while simultaneously enabling visualization, control, and audit compliance, which led to the release of "Network Management/Networks."

Product Overview

"Network Management/Networks" centralizes basic information such as network names, connected locations, and usage purposes, enabling visualization of corporate WiFi and guest WiFi, and sharing with employees. By combining connection approval requests and access permission workflows, users experience a smooth process from application to usage, while administrators can operate efficiently and safely based on unified rules. Additionally, by integrating with "Device Management/Devices" and "Software Management/Software," it provides compound value that balances security and operational efficiency.

Key Features

Network Ledger Management

Centrally manage basic information such as network names, connected locations, categories, types, and usage purposes. Not only can you visualize internal networks such as corporate WiFi and guest WiFi, but you can also share them with employees through the member portal. Future updates will support automatic collection of connection session information (IP addresses, connected SSIDs, carrier names, SIM status, connection times, etc.) through API integration with MDM, Wi-Fi controllers, and VPN gateways.

Administrator Assignment

Register network administrators to clarify points of contact for incident response and audits. Future updates will also provide features such as alert notifications based on personnel changes like transfers or departures to prevent oversight in updating administrators.

Access Control Management

Set access users, permission types, and validity periods to manage access status. Detect users with expired validity periods or former employees to enhance security. Feature updates such as access permission approval workflows and automatic permission granting/revocation are also planned.

This release begins as a beta version, and we will continue to improve based on feedback from actual usage. In the future, we will enhance monitoring and alert functions by integrating with "Device Management/Devices" and "Software Management/Software." We also plan to add procedures such as VPN connection approval requests and proxy/firewall configuration change requests. The product is planned to expand as a solution that further reduces operational burden on IT staff while strengthening organization-wide network security.
